WORKING TOGETHER

My work combines the powerful new fields of Dynamic Eating Psychology and Mind-Body Nutrition. The skills I utilize are a combination of practical coaching techniques, results-oriented psychology, clinical nutrition, body-centered practices, mind-body science, and a positive and compassionate approach to challenges with food and health.

As an Eating Psychology Coach, my approach is positive and empowering. I do not see my clients eating challenges merely as signs that “something is wrong with you” – but as a place where we can more fully explore some of the personal dimensions in life that impact food, weight, and health.

  • My relationship with my body and with food has been a very dynamic and transformational one filled with negative messages, self hatred at times and with the underlying message that “If I could only change this part or the other part of my body, I would feel much better about myself.”

  • Growing up with harsh views on food and body image, I experienced confusion and fear around these issues. Seeking a more compassionate approach, I delved into Eating Psychology, gaining a deeper understanding of body image and eating habits. Becoming an Eating Psychology Coach has been transformative, and I am eager to share these insights with others.

  • I earned a Masters of Education from the College of New Jersey, later obtained my Masters of Arts in Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in NY in 2006.

From Venezuela, New York, Vermont, and now North Carolina, I've had the opportunity to work as a clinician/mental health provider and coach with various individuals, couples, and families all with the goal of supporting them through their life challenges.

I became interested in nutrition and psychology, leading me to train at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating (IPE), where I earned certification as an Eating Psychology Coach. Through IPE's program, I acquired advanced tools and techniques to address weight issues, body image concerns, overeating, binge eating, and other nutrition-related health issues.

I offer compassionate EMDR therapy, combining evidence-based techniques with mindfulness and cognitive strategies to support trauma healing and mental well-being. My inclusive, culturally sensitive approach helps clients from diverse backgrounds achieve emotional growth and resilience.
